Mu Omicron Sigma seeks to play a role in helping to cultivate girls as they grow into young ladies who are well-rounded and will embody the qualities needed to be good students and productive citizens. This is achieved through fostering personal skills and programming that is centered around scholarship, service, and sisterhood.
Throughout the years, Mu Omicron Sigma's Rhosebuds have participated in and hosted many activities that encourage an affinity for service and the development of sisterhood.
Some of these activities have included:
-
Swim1922
-
March of Dimes Walks
-

-
Annual Father's Day Celebration
-

-
Earth Day Activities
-

and so much more!
FUN FACT: Mu Omicron Sigma was the first chapter in the state of Maryland to establish a Rhosebud club.

Mu Omicron Sigma's Rhoer's Club helps young women learn about their heritage and develop leadership skills for the future. They are encouraged to realize their dreams, excel academically, and grow to be women who are dedicated to service.
The program consists of training and guidance in education, community service, vocation, fine arts, and social affairs. It also provides young women with the energy, support, commitment, and encouragement of the Sorors of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to help them develop and succeed in their life’s endeavors.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority further seeks to inspire, encourage, and challenge Rhoers to advance themselves in terms of their talents and future careers. The Sorority also strives to assist Rhoers in developing positive, effective, and healthy attitudes towards life and society.

Since its inception, Sigma Gamma Rho has promoted unity among women and has worked with individuals who were not members of Greek-lettered organizations. The purpose of the Philo Affiliate is to promote the high ideals of Sigma Gamma Rho, support the Sorority's mission and vision through programming, and provide volunteer services to the community. Our "Philos" (meaning "friends") are women who are not members of Sigma Gamma Rho but who share the principles and are committed to supporting our mission.
Philos engage in a variety of service projects and programs, including educational and cultural initiatives, community outreach, and fundraising. We provide a platform for women to develop leadership skills, build relationships, and contribute to the growth and success of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
